Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Ambiguous Descriptions
Philly was sweet! We slept so much that we turned into pumpkins and have decided to retire from our epic careers of being broke world travelers, to assume a life of solitude and non electrical lawn care with the Amish.
Just joking. But we did sleep a lot. We played a show at a DIY spot called Lava on Sunday and then had the day off to wander around Philly. Both were enjoyable. I'm going to let you all imagine all of the craziness that ensued because I'm feeling mysterious, but I will say that the past few days had lots of cheese, books, pepper whiskey and spicy kale. Big thank you to Diane from Trophy Wife for cooking epic breakfasts with me and for giving us such a nice place to rest up.
Baltimore was also a time. We played at a spot called Grindon House. The house is huge and very well kept with wood floors and tall ceilings. The show was primarily made up of hardcore bands with crazy powerful vocals. Sunners, The Heads Are Zeros, and Yugennui all killed it. Rachelle gave me permanent marker tattoos because everyone had them ( real ones) and I was jealous. This upped my cool factor in my head until this morning. Now they are all faded and weird. I gave my electric cello a tattoo as well so that it could feel included. It has not faded- and makes me want to have a matching one to solidify our bond as best buds.
We are now headed to Virginia and will hopefully be leaving the crazy New York drivers behind.
