Night Time In Knoxville and other smash hits

AHHH! So the past few days have been freaking amazing. We had been in hibernation for a few months writing songs and practicing and what-not (also it's cold..so why leave your house)- but broke the spell by playing in Louisville on Friday, Cincinnati on Saturday, and Knoxville yesterday.

The shows have been a blast. In Louisville we played a restaurant turned-pop up venue called Eiderdown. It usually serves fancy German food, but occasionally hosts raucous shows. We played with Louisville's Pleasure Boys, and Cinci's Pop Empire. Both bands joined us the next day for our LP release party.

Holy hell. The LP release was one of my favorite nights ever. It was super loud, and tons of folks came out. The bartenders at Northside Tavern are the best in the city, and Steve Schmoll made us sound even louder than normal ;)  Thanks, Steve. All the love to Cincinnati.

Yesterday we drove to Knoxville to play a small spot called The Pilot Light. It is a hole in the wall music bar in a downtown neighborhood called Old City. The walls were painted a deep red, and covered in casually strung christmas lights, odd paintings, and graffiti. Before we played, I walked up the hill and explored a bit of downtown. Knoxville was actually a pretty happening spot considering it was Sunday. The bands we played with, Day & Age and Dr. Terror both killed it.

A highlight to the evening was definitely Waffle House, and crashing at a Walmart in Chattanooga (we drove there after the show). I'm sure that it is just because it was the first night of tour, but it was oddly home-y sleeping in the van again. Today we are bumming around Chattanooga until load in at 8. Super looking forward to playing a show with Downtown Boys, Sneaks, and Snarky at JJ's Bohemian tonight.

Rachelle, Daisy and I truly truly suck at taking photos of ourselves. We look serious because whenever we smile we look like aliens. In a bad way.
