Chattanooga w/ Downtown Boys, Sneaks, and Snarky

Chattanooga is a beautiful city. We spent most of the day camped out in a neighborhood filled with coffee shops, holistic medicine spots, and beautiful parks. The crazy thing was realizing that we didn’t need our winter coats in March. The even crazier thing ended up being that it was warm enough to lay out on the grass by the river in shorts and a t-shirt.

We played at a JJ’s Bohemia with Downtown Boys, Sneaks, and Snarky. All of these bands were womxn fronted and everyone played super high energy sets. We had heard Snarky and Downtown Boys before from past shows, but this was my first time seeing Sneaks and I was totally blown away. If you haven’t heard them before, definitely check them out. Their upbeat pop sensibilities work super well with quirky dissonant bass lines. Kind of reminded me of early Little Dragon (think, the song Twice) crossed with MIA and Le Tigre.

Huge thanks to Ash from Snarky for putting us on such a stacked bill.

Anyway! We’re now headed to Marietta Georgia to hang in some lovely 80 degree weather. Peace and love.

Someone named Peyton gave me a rose after I played. I love roses! Hopefully that becomes a regular thing because I could get used to free flowers.
