Spent Saturday night in St. Augustine at a really neat music dive bar called Shanghai Nobby's. It was dimly lit and covered in christmas lights and band posters. The bartender quoted Hedwig and the Angry Inch to me within two seconds of being there- so I knew right away it would be a lovely night. I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't actually an asian restaurant- because if it had been, then we would have officially played 2 chinese food buffet bars in the past year. See the Medford section of this post for proof:: Fun times when you're having flies
Nobby's is super fantastic, even if it isn't a Chinese Buffet, and we had a stellar time playing with Puddled (a one man band whose set includes him getting sprayed with spray paint by the crowd. That was fun), as well as the new loud and killer duo Scraps.
Thanks so much to Jacob from Scraps for setting up the night, and mad love to Cole for giving us a place to stay, and providing us with delicious beer and coffee (in that order).
