Off the grid, kind of. The internet grid.

Hey world of the internet. It's been so long! But really, it kind of has. After my post on Saturday we played a show at The Rad Shack in Provo Utah-and then headed to The Grand Canyon for our days off where we lived without internet/phones. When I got back to Facebook today it was horrifying: "you have 55 notifications". ugh. As great as the internet is, there are way too many inboxes, notifications, and ways to be contacted. I vote we all just have one. Two, tops.  I recently found my instagram inbox which has been there for about 2 years without me figuring out where it was..anyway.

Provo Utah was great. The city itself is small, filled with bookstores and coffeeshops, and is surrounded by mountains. The Rad Shack is this small DIY venue in quite literally a shack behind someone's house. The person who runs it, Dallin, is a rad gentleman who knows how to put on shows. Tons of folks in the community and surrounding areas crammed into this small little shack to watch the bands. Bands that played: Dead Metro (Provo), Emma Park (Provo), and Party Dog (CA). After the show Dallin let us crash, and his partner, Mandy, made us delicious pancakes for breakfast.

After that we headed to The Grand Canyon. It was gorgeous. We spent the days outside, and our only mistake was not eating anything the entire day. We remembered the hydration part, but Rachelle and I definitely realized as we were driving away from the Canyon that the reason we were a bit delirious was probably because we had been hiking the trails on breakfast protein bars.

Today we drove to Flagstaff Arizona. I'm currently enjoying the AC and tea at a local spot called Steep. We play at Flagstaff Brewing Co. tonight.

Obligatory "I hiked in the Grand Canyon" picture. I need Daisy to send me some of him and Rachelle. They'll be up in a bit.
