I’m writing this from my house in Ohio but we are about to hit the road. It feels like I finally got used to being back home! There is definitely an adjustment period. Anyway, sipping a cup of coffee here, looking out at Cincinnati’s changing fall weather, it’s hard to believe that it’s already time to go. Well..not that hard to believe..haha…
We are heading to Michigan a day early to give a talk to a bunch of middle school and high school kids on cello pickups and electrics. It should be a good time, although it is a bit out of my norm to be giving talks to kids, so we’ll see how that goes. All I know is that when I was a kid playing cello, I was jealous of the kids who played guitars in bands, and if I could go back in time and show little-me that different sounds were possible out of cellos, that would have been eye opening and a lot of fun. So that’s what I hope it will be for some of these kids.
Tomorrow we play Detroit. Keep you posted on our travels!
