Detroit and Columbus

The last few days have been great! We played in Detroit with our good buds Tart and The Messenger Birds which was/as always/ a great time. Afterwards we went with our friend Khriscinda and The Messenger Birds to a 24 hour Detroit coney island that had..flaming Greek Cheese. It’s a thing. I don’t know how I lived in Michigan for the first 21 years of my life without every discovering this flaming cheese stuff. Apparently it’s super big in Detroit. The waitress comes out, dumps a shot of whiskey on the cheese, lights in on fire, tries not to set her hair on fire, says “Opa!!” and blows out the flames. Daisy got a video of it. I’ll hopefully upload that here soon. If not, you’ll just have to imagine it.

Columbus was great as well! We played with Queer Kevin and Dana at Spacebar. The sound is always great there, and it was cool to be at a Sunday show with kickass bands and a crowd of people.

Today we head to Knoxville to play The Pilot Light. We played there for the first time almost 2 years ago! Time flies..

all the good vibes-

I tried to pull a fast one on Daisy and sneakily brought a batch of fermenting sauerkraut in the van thinking that somehow it wouldn’t stink up the van….he figured it out. Gotta eat this stuff super fast before all of our clothes start smelling like cabbage.
